These precast reinforced box culverts are approx 1.5m x 1.5m x 2.0m long and each weighing 4.25 tonnes.
Each culvert is cast with four lifting sockets in one side for lifting and fitting
The culverts have a rebate cast into each end so that each section can be slotted together end to end and sealed with mastic to give a leak free structure.
We recently supplied some of these box culverts to W A Developments Ltd who used the sections to protect a river embankment from collapse whilst working above on the railway line. The culverts were set in to the river so as to avoid interruption to the water flow.
